Capturing fans
Every route an email takes onto your list, what the fan sees, and where it ends up.
Why bother#
Followers belong to the platform they live on. If it changes its feed, prices its reach, or disappears, the connection goes with it. An email list is the one audience that keeps working regardless, and it costs nothing to start collecting from your first link.
The four ways an email arrives#

What the fan sees#
One field and one button. No account, no password, no confirmation step. The form stays out of the way until the fan has had a chance to do what they came for, and the page says thanks without reloading and losing their place.
Plan limits#
Every plan collects fans, including Free. Free holds up to 100 contacts and shows them in the dashboard; exporting or syncing them needs Indie or above. When a Free account hits the cap, fans still see a normal thank-you rather than an error, so nobody has a bad experience because of your billing.
Keeping junk out#
Forms are protected by a bot check that stays invisible to real people. It is deliberately forgiving: a fan on a network where the check can't load is let through rather than blocked, on the basis that a little junk is better than losing a real signup.
Where the addresses end up#
Everything lands on your audience page, tagged with where it came from and which link. From there you can filter, export as CSV, or have new fans pushed automatically into Mailchimp or Kit.
Consent and the law#
A fan typing their email into a form to hear about your music is giving consent for that. It does not automatically cover unrelated marketing, so keep what you send close to what they signed up for, and always include a way to unsubscribe. If you sync to Mailchimp or Kit, their unsubscribe handling takes over, which is the tidiest arrangement.
